Starting again....

Sometimes I feel like I spend too much time reading people's blogs, keeping in touch with friends and loved ones....but... I have amazing friends, who live amazing lives and my time in the morning "connecting" with them makes me feel just ( you guesssed it) amazing! :D

This blog is in honor to a poem Marta shared with us.

It exposes my deepest thoughts.

Moving to Vancouver started it all... my erasing the past and starting "fresh" in my marriage....the NEW year and the not so new resolutions...

I suddenly thought of all the things I once wanted as a young girl, and all my dreams...

I realized that I had given up on so many, if not all. That my life as I always imagined it was not becoming a reality.

I made too many excuses for myself.

I think I let my lack of confidence get in the way of achieving my potential.

BIG MISTAKE.

But I made up my mind!

Something happened...this time my determination is wining somehow.

I can say that I feel more in control of my life. I feel more excited as I see that I CAN... I can!

I felt so encouraged by the poem and I hope you do too.

Life is beautiful and we can't give up :D

So here is my free translation of the poem:...ENJOY!

DON'T GIVE UP

"Don't give up, you still have time

to achieve and start again,

to admit your shadows,

to bury your fears,

to discharge ballast,

and fly again.

Don't give up because that's what life is,

continuing the journey,

following your dreams,

unlocking time,

moving debris,

and uncovering the sky.

Don't give up, please don't give in,

even though the cold may burn,

even though the fear may bite,

even though the sun may hide,

and the wind may go silent,

there is still fire in your soul,

there is still life in your dreams.

Because life is yours and yours also is the desire,

Because you have loved and I love you,

because wine and love exist, it is true.

Because there are no wounds that time cannot heal.

Opening doors,

removing bolts,

abandoning the walls that used to protect you,

living life and accepting the challenge,

restoring the laughter,

rehearsing a song,

letting your guard down and extending your hands,

unfolding your wings and trying again.

Celebrating life and returning to the skies.

Don't give up, please don't give in,
