Stitches

I think I've been so lucky that almost 6 years of being a mom, after three kids, yesterday was the first day I had to take one of my babies into emergency to get stitched :(
Isabel, poor thing, was the one.
We had had a nice day, shopping, getting ice cream cones... and playing outside in the front yard blowing bubbles.
Isabel was so happy running free, messing the pile of fallen leaves I was trying to clean up, looking up and saying bye to the planes that were flying in the sky.... I really stopped and looked at my beautiful kids and thought to myself that THIS was the life!
And suddenly, Isabel starts running and falls right at the front stairs of the house, bumps her head and as if bouncing off of them falls right on her back...
The result: blood........lots of it!
I kept asking myself: Now what???
Evan says I always freak out, so I didn't know what to think...so I stopped the bleeding and waited for him to have a look at it.
Poor Isabel fell asleep from the shock I guess.
We ended up going to the Hospital, I dropped Evan and Isabel and took the older ones to class with me.
And here she is...Two hours and two stitches after.... looking as happy and as beautiful as ever!!!

Back to "normal"... well, kinda...

I've been waiting for the Olympics to be over to get back to our daily routines... and I am making my way back. You know, going to bed early( I don't have to watch 8 hours of Games on tv now), getting up early ( I am too tired from all the walking around downtown, the waiting of thousands of line ups, the late concerts...), and thinking about something else than what gold medal Canada was going to win everyday!
Now I have time to set goal, work on my piano, and on my business...and I haven't gone for a run since I'm still in terrible pain ( big thanks to my wisdom teeth for showing up and ruining the fun!)....and COLD SORES!!! I really don't know what I did....but I got blisters all over my bottom lip and cold sores in the corner of my mouth...LOVELY!
But... it is SOO nice outside!!
I spent some time in the park of the school after Carmen went in for class....and as I drove off, I thought of my days in high school when I would decide a day like today was too nice to be inside a classroom and I would just hang out with friends on the front yard ( where the teachers could see us, but nobody cared.... I think they just wished they could be out there with us) and I would lay down in the grass and soak up the sun....
Good memories....
Good days....
So...today I am in a good mood.
It is amazing what a good dose of vitamin D can do for you :D
I think that's why people on Spain ( the South especially) is soooooooo nice and soooo fun, sooooooo happy all the time!
I want to move there...
someday!
Can't wait for the lovely summers here!!!!!!

Oooooh Jake!

We all know I am a sucker for Reality Shows...
Especially for the BACHELOR!

I really liked Jake. He seemed like a really good boy, kind and a bit "corky", but mature.
I am happy he is happy...but how could he say no to Tenley??? He dumps her for the same reasin he was dumped in the previous Bachelorette, so I don;t get it.
And WHY, WHY, WHY is Ali the new one????
WHy not giving Tenly a chance??? She is too good, honest, and virtuos to be on that show, I guess.
