Flying to Spain!

So today is my last day before I go to Spain...what means that I'm not ready at all!!!
I've spent all morning doing laundry, ironing a few things, packing and trying to clean a bit so Evan doesn't go crazy after I leave! I also want to make some tortillas for our lunch tomorrow and a couple more things so Evan has some food too... I don't trust he'll cook for himself, so I rather make him some food than having him living on fast food for a week.
The evening is booked... we'll go for the usual last shopping trip and Evan has Band practice, I'll be home having dinner with the babies, giving them a bath, putting them to sleep and tomorrow at 6am ...time to get up! We'll take the ferry at 7'45, Jordan will pick us up to take us to the Airport, and there we'll meet auntie Tania. Our flight leaves at 2pm... and then we'll be on our way to SPAIN!!!

Saturday Ice Hockey

Every Saturday night Evan goes to play Ice hockey and sometimes...I'll go with the kids to watch him play.
Carmen seems to love it, and she is starting to want to play hockey too... So Evan had to make her a little stick so she could play with it.
The first video is Evan scoring one of the many goals (he always scores lots)... but this one I almost missed it, so be ready cuz it is really fast.
The second video is baby Evan trying to copy some of daddy's good moves with the stick... watch out Sidney Crosby...Evan Mikel Clarke is coming to take your place!

My Day Off Work

Yes... monday a holiday, Evan doesn't work.. so I took the day off too... and I went to visit my sister in Vancouver by myself... no babies... and had a fantastic time shopping!

On our way there we saw and ad by H&M....couldn't believe it!! I really hope they are coming to Vancouver!
So, there is nothing like the feeling of being pleased with your purchases ...and that's how I felt...like I found everything I was looking for.
First, I had my eyebrows done...the threading technique. It does hurt, but I was so happy with the experience. First of all, the lady, a really tiny Chinese lady, sat me down, and looked at me, held my face with both hands and said: " You are so beautiful", and then she commented on how curly my eyelashes were. She had a friend there and spoke to her in Chinese, but by the hands signals, she was telling here about my smooth skin and the curly eyelashes ...that was cute! and plus she did a good job. She said I should tattoo my eyebrow ( because of the gap I have where my scar goes thru it) because I'm so beautiful and that would make it perfect... bless her heart. I don't think I'll ever do that... it is so part of me now...

I bought this cute bag... big enough for diapers , wipes...you know...all those things mothers need to carry around...
In that same store I bought super cute earrings. Because of Evan pulling them I had lost so many, or they got broken... and I LOVE shopping for earrings, so any excuse to get new ones.

And this comfy shoes for all the walking that awaits for me in Spain and England!

so...I can't wait to get to Spain and go shopping there! Oh my gosh...that's the most exciting part of my trip! J/K ...Seeing my family too! :D

Pipers Lagoon

Nothing better than going for a walk by the ocean on a cloudy and windy Sunday evening... and of course, camera in hand to take pictures of the family!

There is this beautiful family( that I LOVE!!!!!) in my ward....the Slobodans...3 boys 2 girls. The girls I've taught in Young Women and now that Tania, the oldest, moved to Vancouver, I only have Paulina in Sunday School...but I totally adore them. They make me think of my family. The father was our bishop for a while until he got called into the Stake Presidency...like my father! The older 3 have served missions...like my family! and the girls are sooooooo adorable, super involved in the Church... they remind me of Patri and I...like us but better! way better!
I hope Victor becomes the kind of man that deserves one of these cuties! Then we'll be family! :D
They had all the family over for the long weekend. Lee the oldest, has 2 kids, one is Ty, who we've decided will marry our Carmen. Jay married a beautiful girl, Jacinta, and live in Vancouver. Sean, finished his mission in Russia and moved to Provo to study at BYU. He came up with his girlfriend Megan, another pretty girl. Tania, that lives in Vancouver... just finished her schooling in hairdressing and was Miss Nanaimo last year!! And last but not least my dear Paulina! She is taking Spanish in school and she always talks to Carmen in Spanish...I love that!
The mother is my Visiting Teaching companion...I love her! She is so fun, so thoughtful and caring. I hope to be like her!
So here I introduce you to my favorite family in Nanaimo!

(ME, Paulina and Tania)

*** DaTe NighT ****

As promised...some pictures of me :D
They are from last night... we went to Cactus Club for dinner. It is a nice restaurant that guys seem to like a lot since all they have is pretty waitresses all dressed up and showing some good cleavage... not that Evan doesn't see enough of those at home ;D.

This picture is in the car

These ones are at the restaurant...
I always feel so dumb when taking pictures of me, but Evan made it real fun. We were laughing a lot and people kept looking at us... ( plus, there is something about a flash that makes people look).

Dinner was good...actually, really good.
I'm glad a tried something new. A tuna poke is called that was really yummy and I had the best salad ever....with avocados, pecans, feta cheese, strawberries, egg, chicken...super good!...no pictures of the food, though...just of us!
