That's my life.
With its up and down's.
Anything less than amusing :D
I realize I have no much time for blogging ever. It seems that all week long I am fully scheduled.
This week, I got sick. So that means, it's time to slow down, lay down and rest.
So that's what's happening right now.
I like doing nothing... but I don't like being sick :S
I am happy with all the things I've been doing.
In all my visits to the sisters, to investigators, attending meetings, trainings, cooking, making phone calls, dropping off food to the families in need in my ward, I always think of my RS Sisters...
How do we occupy our lives?
Do we find ourselves going "about doing good"?
Do we feel the joy of serving?
There is so much we can do.
I've felt bad at times about leaving my house in KOs , but I find that the satisfaction and the feeling of having done something excellent before doing something good makes me feel better.
I'm reminded of the talk by Elder Ian S Ardern "A Time to Prepare".
It makes me question how well I am making use of my time, what my priorities are...etc.
What he said made an impact.... ( I get so many of those "awakenings" in gen conf)
"There is much that is good with our easy access to communication and information. I have found it helpful to access research articles, conference talks, and ancestral records, and to receive e-mails, Facebook reminders, tweets, and texts. As good as these things are, we cannot allow them to push to one side those things of greatest importance. How sad it would be if the phone and computer, with all their sophistication, drowned out the simplicity of sincere prayer to a loving Father in Heaven. Let us be as quick to kneel as we are to text.
So important to remember.
Since starting the year, we've been striving to be perfect in our reading together as a family. And I've been working on my personal study as well.
It might be simple, but I don;t allow myself to enter in facebook, or gmail, or any other app in my phone before I read my scriptures and study the book " Daughters in my Kingdom".
I wake up early enough and I have time to do it, to read, to prepare breakfast, to prepare and pack lunches for the kids, to read together and drive them to school.
I am so happy the kids are trying really hard too. Isabel finally kneels with us to say the prayer, instead of climbing on everyone and laughing, she now wants to say the prayer all the time... and she gets the books, and she sits during reading and she even reads ( repeats the words after us)... and she loves it!! and I love that they are all part of this family! that they all are part of this moment... that everyone is in this together!
we all want it so bad to make this a norm in the house, and there is only good that will come from this.
I am so excited :D
