Very Tired

I've been really tired lately... Evan always wants to watch movies with me once everybody is in bed... but I always end up falling asleep ( which makes him really mad, for some reason).
He thinks I can have a nap during the day if I wanted...yeah, right! Carmen doesn't take naps since I don't know when, and Evan has some days, but that is my time to do some cleaning or cooking or reading or relaxing... but if I make the attempt to take a nap Carmen makes sure she makes it so very impossible for me to sleep.
Anyhow... I guess if I was really tired I could fall asleep anywhere, like I found Evan here.... went running and collapsed on the couch! he fell asleep just like that! Standing and everything!

Grandpa McLean's B-day!

I know it was last week, but I had to post about it.
First of all Carmen loved it! She loves B-days period.
Me, I thought it was a nice evening. Since I haven't experienced what it is to have a grandpa (even less a great grandpa) I love the fact that Carmen's got the chance to know hers.
He doesn't remember things but I hope that he noticed the little girl that was all over the cake and kept wishing him a happy b-day.
90 years old... and such an accomplished life!

This is my pretty boy

This is the family picture ( there are lots more... he has 31 great grandkids just from my mother in law!)
And this is Carmen when it was time to go home... she was really sad, she even gave us her best sad face for these pictures :P... she is such a model-actress.

In the meantime Evan was crying his eyes out all strapped in the carseat... so he got some pictures too!

I'm having a.....

GIRL!!!
Little Isabel DeAnna will be
joining our family!
The due date has been changed to November 30th.... Apparently I was 10 days off in my counting... But the sooner the better... the less time I have to be carrying a baby in my belly!
So everything is perfect according to the ultrasound. She is almost a kilo already and looks like a very healthy girl.
We are all really happy....especially Carmen. She really wanted a little sister and I think she will be great with her.
We can't wait to see her pretty face... because let's be honest...she will be gorgeous, hahaha.
No pictures of my belly just yet...but comming soon.
It was like a grew a belly overnight... all I wear now is maternity clothes...
I can't stand anything that oppresses my lovely bump, I'm already feeling the early contractions and I don't need clothes that squeeze me even a little bit.
So... good news...very good news to share with y'all!

Weekend....

We didn't go out Friday bc we went out for dinner on Thursday... ( I'm at the point where I feel hungry but then I can't really eat all I feel like eating.... I feel my stomach so up and squeezed I can't get hardly anything in it!!)... so we went to the gym instead. I tried to get some sympathy from my trainer bc I don't feel like going to the gym anymore.... but I got nothing!!! She practically said she didn't care... I have to work out.... Oh well... whatever! I'll keep going!!
I also went Saturday morning... not before having a super nutritious breakfast of Chocolate cake and custard.... so I felt I had to burn it off!!
We got our shopping done and we went to the beach with Sarah and Adriel. And they came home to have dinner with us.
Evan went and played ice hockey and I waited up for him to read the scriptures together.
My kids always give us the easiest time to go to sleep on Saturday night and they sleep in on Sunday morning, so it's 8'30 and we have to wake them up to go to Church... which means that we are normally late.
I super enjoyed the lesson this week.
I can't help but feel like Ammon when I look back on my mission.
Could I have ever thought I would be this blessed for serving a mission?????
It is a blessing for life! It is definitely up there with the feelings of being a mother!
I tried to share my feelings with the two young ladies that were in my class...
My patriarchal blessing says that I would be an influence on many young women to go on a mission and build an eternal family... so I hope and pray that I touched them in some way.
Evan had to go home teaching after Church so when he got home I made lunch for him and for the Elder and we went to visit with the Slobodan's ( my favorite family in the ward....I've mentioned them before). Jay and Jacinta were over and we got a chance to hang out with them... I so wish they lived here on the Island!!!.
They gave us a bunch of pictures they took of our kids from the last time they came over... so I'm putting some of them here!
We then left for a walk by the sea wall and came home for some yummy Alfredo pasta.
We had a mini Spanish lesson... Evan has been having problems with the Conditional tense so we went over it for a little while. He is doing great but I get a bit frustrated with the way he learns... is so not my way and we always argue because I always try to convince him that my method is better....and anybody that knows Evan knows that he is very very VERY hard headed!! He has to be right! But it is ok, I guess... We always end up laughing anyway....

Their hair was long....

So I dreamed about getting a haircut and once I woke up I called my personal stylist ( always on call ;D...thank you Sarah!) and she came over to give my kids a nice trim... at least that's what I told Evan...

... but this is how they ended

I LOVE IT!!!
After seeing herself in the mirror Carmen said: "I look like Dora!"
I think she is the most beautiful girl in the whole wide world!!!

And my little Evan...oh, well... he was a nightmare to work with... but he is so cute no matter the hair... so hopefully that will help me not to get a good one from my dear hubby...:{
( he was really against cuttin his cute curls)

Now it is my turn... I'm just not sure what to do with my hair.... I'm contemplating the idea of going back to brown... but I love my highlights...so who know...and I also want a frinch... or maybe I get some of those side-swept bangs... so once I decide I'll get it done!! I'm so excited....even more after seing how beautiful my kids look now!

Mom's night out and things....

So we've started a tradition ( that I hope we keep forever!!)
a
Mom's Night Out

Once a month a group of friends ( to be a mother is the only requirement) we'll get together to do something fun. So yesterday we went out for dinner and then went for a walk to the waterfront....and let me tell ya... it was great!!1 the sun was down, the breeze was nice and fresh and the best thing was not having kids around to stress us out!

When I got home my dear hubby had done the dishes and had put the kids to bed, so we just read the scriptures in peace and went to bed. It felt so good!
Ah... something else I did yesterday... I took Evan Jr to the Hospital for his colondoscopy.... I hope that putting him through all that pain will be worth it and the doctors finally find out what's wrong... I'm starting to get frustrated!!
I decided not to be in the room cuz I didn't want to be the one crying the most in there!...cuz I did cry... but outside :{
I walked home from the hospital and I got too much sun so my bottom lip is burnt, peeling and swollen again :{
And something else... I am having my ultra sound on the 23rd and then I'll find out the sex!! That's super exciting!!!
I am 151 days away... more than half way done!!! WOHO!!!

Placeres.... Pleasures in life

5. ENSENYAR.... me encanta!

My friend Marta invited me to share 5 of my favorite pleasures in life... so here it goes:
1. MY CHILDREN... And I know, I know, you wer supposed to mention things of more trivial nature... but I couldn't help it! They are the best thing I've ever made... adn I can't even give myself all the credit for it!!!... But I absolutely LOVE THEM! They are the joy of my life!
If I could choose betwen being with them or doing the most amazing, exciting things anyone could offer... I would hands down choose them.... I don't care they are noisy, they don't let me rest... I still choose them.
2.SLEEP.... anybody that knows me know that I'd sleep in untill the afternoon if I could... ther is something about having a clean bed, having a cool shower and going to sleep!
3. HAVING A CLEAN HOUSE... not cleaning it in itself, but having it clean... Now, this is not a pleasure that lasts too long in my house... but I sure enjoy it while it lasts!
4.MUSIC... singing or dancing to it, you name it... I love it! I can't live without it. It inspires me, it lifts me up, it gives me energy, it puts me in the mood... anything you can think of....I love it!
5.TEACHING... sharing the little things I know about music, cooking, make up... I love the effect of knowledge!... and especially I love to teach the gospel... I don't know if that's something every ex-missionary likes to do... but I fully enjoy preparing my lessons
So... let's see if Chelsea, Jacinta, Sarah, Laura, Bethany, Andrea,Irene and Tania do ti too!

Holidays!!

VIVA CANADA DAY!!!

Y me da tanta pena q no tenga letra nuestro himno!!!!
I love CANADA DAY!...I love the holidays... especially when it is nice outside and we can get out and do something fun.
It is very convenient that we have some cool neighbours and we can always do something with them.
On SUnday at church Carmen sang at the top of her lungs the National Anthem... it was hilarious...that kid watches too much hockey!!!
And in the afternoon we went for a walk in the beach.... kids and water... you can never go wrong!
AND... I can't forget about how happy my dear country Spain made when they won the EUROCUP!!!

The new ferry

And Ilike this picture... not the I am a profesional or anything... it was pure luck that came out like that
